i am a Muslim and i have to say that i am horrified by reading the Bible. i don't understand why Chritians beleive in this book
Matthew 15:22-26
22A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession."
23Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."
24He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."
25The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.
26He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."
I would like to check this book out.I am always on the lookout for new material.
In response to why Christians believe in the Bible:
In order to believe in the Word of God you must have Faith and know that all scripture is God Breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and instruction in righteousness.(2 Tim 3:16). The Bible is full of wisdom, but we must get understanding so that we can apply it to our lives. The blog referenced Matthew 15:22-2, but 27-28 reveals the wisdom of the scripture:
Yes Lord, she said, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table.
Then Jesus answered, Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted. And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
"Faith" is answer, "Wisdom" is the key, but "Understanding" unlocks.
