It sounds almost too simple, and I guess that is why we sometimes try to add more to the list! It is never really as simple in practice though is it?
In a discussion about purpose I would only add one thought, and that is a specific emphasis on mission and evangelism. I think that as we go through life this is a key purpose (that would certainly fall under loving our neighbour) that we all share and should be concious about living out. This is one of the few spiritual activities that we are called to do, that we can only do while we are still here on this side of eternity. Although loving and helping are certainly a huge part of this (our walk must match our talk) it is also good to be reminded that we need to share with words as well.
The interesting thing is that all of us who come to know Jesus have a story that we can share. No matter how young or old we are in our faith God can begin to use the story that He has written through our lives to touch others around us.
Thanks for your great thoughts.
JasonJason McGibbonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12466497990812032728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22904521.post-85517002792542639092007-11-26T21:18:00.000-05:002007-11-26T21:18:00.000-05:00Hello There! It’s one of those that make you go “huummm… Let me think about this”! People become Christians for all types of reasons. And some wear Christianity like a medal of honor, a trophy, or a badge. But “What’s It Really All About??” Fact: You can only get to the Father through the Son. This we know because it is in the word, but man oh man, getting to him, staying with him, and growing in him is something totally different!
I personally think it is about relationships and Love. Everything boils back down to relationships. Relationships with your family, peers, other Christians, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, relationships with your job, your money, everything!! Romans 8:38 & 39 lets us know that nothing can separate us from God’s love.
I stand on that truth!

Blessings ReginaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02537995627507688916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22904521.post-43881867893984756812007-11-26T17:42:00.000-05:002007-11-26T17:42:00.000-05:00I agree that those things are not limited to your ...I agree that those things are not limited to your formative stages.
